The latest numbers from the National Association of Realtors show some interesting trends in seller concessions when buying St George and Washington county real estate. Yes concessions are a viable option for sellers to get their home sold and for buyers to ease the pain of higher interest rates!
A Win/Win situation!
Only 24% of sellers nationwide offered a concession in 2024, down from 33% in 2023. Why is that you may be asking. Buyer demand and lack of housing inventory arer a big factor for those statistics. I can’t wait to see what 2025 has to offer! Both pending home sales and existing-home sales jumped in November and there are more homes on the market compared to a year ago. I’m expecting a small drop in interest rates too, so 2025 should be a great year for sellers and buyers when it comes to concessions in our St George and Washington county real estate market.
