Virgin Utah is a sweet little town located on the road to Zion National Park. Virgin encompasses a large area and includes the area around Kolob Reservoir. The city of Virgin is out of the snow belt, however some the cabins and homes listed on the MLS include the area surrounding Kolob Reservoir. During the winter the road is not maintained and may require snowmobile access only. It is a beautiful part of Virgin, especially when attempting to escape the high summer temps in Virgin. There is a lot of scenic country in the Kolob area and the dirt graded for the most part road will eventually get you to Cedar City. Virgin is the home of the Red Bull Rampage. The premier mountain bike competition as well as the home of world class BMX racing. The town of Virgin is a gateway to a special entrance to Zion National Park. No fee required and very remote. Lots of great hikes on the way into this finger of Zion National Park, including hikes into Zion. Try some of Virgin’s world famous cactus jelly! The Virgin Trading Post or the Cactus Room restaurant serve up great meals. You won’t be disappointed in either one. You will probably be pleasantly surprised! There is a great beach and swimming area in Virgin as well. Right on the Virgin river. Lots of ATV and OHV riding as well as the gateway to Smiths Mesa. Home of some breathtaking views and ancient Indian rock art. You may even have the opportunity to get a home off the grid in southern Utah up here!
