The town is located on Highway 59 in a small valley on the Little Plains between Hurricane and Hildale Utah about 12 miles East of Hurricane. Apple Valley is one of the most recent towns to incorporate in Washington County. It was incorporated on October 14, 2001. The awe inspiring scenery is of Zion National Park in the background and Mount Smithsonian, Canaan Mountain and Little Creek Mesa surrounding the area. The temperature is about 10 degrees cooler than Hurricane and St. George year around.
